Inspired by the 16th century tradition of collecting for one’s cabinet of curiosities, our ‘cabinet’ series of group exhibitions invites artists to explore different corners of the natural world as they collide with magic, myth, and mystery. THE ORNITHOLOGIST’S CABINET marks the second installment in the series, following last year’s THE ENTOMOLOGIST’S CABINET in January ‘25. This time, 46 artists turn their attention skyward, interpreting the strange beauty of birds through a variety of styles and mediums, offering fresh perspectives on the stories and symbols that surround these winged wonders.
