Dewi Plass

NETHERLANDS

Dutch painter Dewi [day-vee] Plass creates entrancing animal portraits that are soft, subdued, and carry palpable metaphoric weight. Working in acrylic, Plass has mastered the use of sfumato, delicately blending forms so the focal creatures emerge with brilliant clarity, while their surroundings recede in an unfocused, ethereal haze. 

 

A self-taught painter, Plass has a background in cultural anthropology and committed to working as a full-time artist in 2015. Arch Enemy Arts is proud to have been the first gallery to exhibit Plass’ beautiful work, and she has shown in numerous group and solo features with us nearly every year since.  ​​
