AMELIA ROZEAR

TRANSFIGURATION

solo exhibition

April 3rd - 26th, 2026

Opening Reception: First Friday, April 3rd, 2026

Arch Enemy Arts presents TRANSFIGURATION by Amelia Rozear, a mini series of sixteen small-scaled, mixed media illustrations done in watercolor, colored pencil, and gold metallic paint. We began working with Rozear just last year and have fallen in love with her tender and expressive artwork inspired by folk art traditions, illuminated manuscripts, and items of antiquity. Her painting style is fluid and organic, yet clean and precise, with a luminous palette of contrasting warm and cool tones. This technique, along with Rozear’s unique stylistic vision, creates an astounding sense of movement and spontaneity in small, compact compositions. Like visual poetry, these petite paintings read like snippets from some ancient tapestry, or stories lost to time.

“TRANSFIGURATION alludes to divinity, spirituality, and an elevated change of form. It explores a potential afterlife as a cacophony of color, where physical shape and subconscious thought merge. Imagining such a place—and the beings one might encounter within it—has been the primary inspiration for most of my recent work, which I use to pick away at symbolism and mysteries relating to the subconscious.” - Amelia Rozear

Amelia Rozear (b. 2000) was born in Connecticut and is based in Providence, Rhode Island. She graduated from RISD in 2022 and has built a career as a freelance illustrator, fine artist, and educator. Rozear began showing with Arch Enemy Arts in Fall of 2025, and it's an honor to debut TRANSFIGURATION, her first cohesive collection of work exhibited at this scale.

TRANSFIGURATION will be on view from April 3rd - 26th, 2026
Sold works will begin to ship the week starting May 5th, unless other rush shipping arrangements have been made.
