Vasilisa Romanenko

CONNECTICUT

Painter Vasilisa Romanenko renders naturalistic fantasies in acrylic on canvas. Inspired by botany, natural history, Slavic patterning and textile design, she reverently communicates the majesty of nature. Through careful studies of texture and form, her paintings capture the delicate stillness of flora and fauna emerging from a softened darkness with elegance, adoration, and whimsy.

Romanenko attributes much of her artistic education to her upbringing; her parents are both artists, and she graduated with a degree in Illustration from the Fashion Institute of Technology. Romanenko’s work quickly became a staple at Arch Enemy Arts after the artist submitted to our 2020 Spotlight Showcase. She appears in multiple group shows every year and celebrated her second solo feature in 2023.
