Nick Sheehy

UNITED KINGDOM

Nick Sheehy is an Australian-born artist and illustrator living in London. His work is characterized by anthropomorphic characters that echo from his childhood imagination. Sheehy creates beautiful, meticulous paintings using a laborious technique of building multiple layers of texture and color. Fantastical in its beauty, his art invites viewers to explore the bizarre ecosystem of his imagination and to discover the enigmatic, darkly inviting moments he creates.

Sheehy studied sculpture at the University of Tasmania, but after becoming inspired by London’s low brow, underground art scene, he transitioned to drawing, painting, and illustration. Sheehy’s work has been exhibited and collected internationally, and he boasts such illustration clients as Nickelodeon. Sheehy began showing with Arch Enemy Arts in 2016, participating in multiple group exhibitions as well as two solo features.
