Michael Weaver
PHILADELPHIA, PA
Michael Weaver is a multidisciplinary artist who specializes in the raw juxtaposition of paint and thread. He pairs his surrealistic acrylic renderings with geometrically patterned embroidery on cut wood panels for a unique visual effect that draws an important connection between fine art and craft.
Weaver graduated from Kutztown University with a BS in Art Education and a BFA in Crafts with a focus in Fibers. He has exhibited in ten group shows with Arch Enemy Arts since submitting to our 2019 Spotlight Showcase, and he will host his first solo feature in August 2023.
