MECRO
PHILADELPHIA, PA
MECRO (aka Glossblack) is an internationally celebrated graffiti artist and typographer whose public murals have become part of the fabric of the greater-Philadelphia region over the past fifteen years. His experimental fine art works explore color, form, scale, texture, and material through a typographic, street art lens with an incredibly clean, technical hand that is signature to the artist’s style.
Getting his start as a freight writer in the early 2000s while studying Marine Science and Ecology at Rutgers University, MECRO began making art full-time in 2016. He has produced works for such notable clients as Comcast, Google, Saks Fifth Avenue, Under Armour, the Philadelphia 76ers, and the list goes on. MECRO has been exhibiting with Arch Enemy Arts since 2019.
