KSRA
PORTLAND, OR
KSRA (kay-seh-rah) is a muralist, designer, fabricator, and mixed media sculptor. Her gallery work consists primarily of psychedelic recreations of old neon signs titled by street address. Drawn to weathered typography, handmade craft, and the nostalgia of disappearing city landmarks, KSRA transforms these beloved signs and emblems of history into distorted miniature and full-scale monuments that feel at once lovingly preserved and dreamily remembered.
KSRA aka Sara Ferguson (b. 1987) is a self-taught artist, who began painting graffiti in Atlanta in 2004 before moving to Seattle in 2010 where she entered the gallery scene. Now based in Portland, she works for LAIKA Studios creating small-scale sculptures and miniature movie sets in the stop motion animation film industry.
