Caitlin Hackett

OAKLAND, CA

Caitlin Hackett creates otherworldly illustrations in watercolor, pen, and ink. Growing up between the Pacific Ocean and Redwood forests, the backdrop of her youth instilled a deep appreciation for the natural world and the mythologies they evoke. Still based in the Bay area today, Hackett illuminates the complicated relationship between humans and our natural world through her work. Her style is spellbinding, beautiful, and dark as she uses graceful lines and ethereal washes to create symbolic compositions rife with conflict.

Hackett graduated from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY in 2009 and has participated in more than twenty group shows and multiple solo features with Arch Enemy Arts since 2014.
