Alex Achaval
SEATTLE, WA
Alex Achaval is a self-taught portrait painter and mixed media artist best known for his signature split-image compositions, often featuring unique dual frames. Combining oil and acrylic with unexpected interruptions, Achaval conceals and transforms his subjects, creating portraits layered with depth and meaning, offering images that shift between themes of memory, beauty, and time.
Alex Achaval (b. 1986) is based in Seattle, WA and works out of his open studio in Pike Place Market. Internationally exhibited and collected, Achaval began showing with Arch Enemy Arts in 2020 after submitting to our Spotlight Showcase and has appeared in more than ten group exhibitions with the gallery.
