Adam Wallacavage

PHILADELPHIA, PA

Adam Wallacavage (American, b. 1969) is a sculptor and designer best known for his iconic octopus chandeliers. Working with a range of materials and constantly experimenting new techniques, Wallacavage creates functional, psychedelic assemblages out of epoxy clay, resin, lamp parts, and antiques, adding iridescent powders and paint to enhance the effect. Extravagant yet sophisticated, Wallacavage’s mind-bending works straddle the line between fine art and design.

Wallacavage graduated from University of the Arts in Philadelphia with a degree in Photography. An accomplished portrait and street photographer, Wallacavage got his start photographing for Thrasher Skate Magazine in the 90s and went on to work commercially as a photographer for over a decade. Wallacavage’s work has appeared in group shows with Arch Enemy Arts since 2014, and we continue to facilitate private commissions for collectors.
