RACHAEL BRIDGE

REFLECTIONS

Opening: December 17th, 2021

Arch Enemy Arts is thrilled to present Reflections, a solo feature from the haunting mind of Rachael Bridge. Exhibiting eight works of technicolor brilliance, Rachael taps dread and awe through a body of hyper-realistic oil portraiture.

A local artist living between her home in New Jersey and the quiet seclusion of Upstate NY, Rachael received a BFA from Pratt Institute in 2010. Imparting a love of horror into her work, Bridge manages feelings of anxiety with the brush and panel. Expressing the feeling of “time stopping” felt in the limbo of these past two years, Reflections is both a mirror and testament to isolation. Capturing a static calm reflected in the stillness of hollowed eyes, Bridge leads us into candle-lit chambers, stagnant baths, and starry nights where her subjects dwell in delicious vibrancy. Electric palettes mingle with our fears, taking us to the edge of terror and wonderment where they coalesce in elegant detail.

This show is Arch Enemy Arts’ second solo feature of Rachael Bridge’s work, following 2019’s showcase In Limbo.
