POSTCARDS FROM THE PANDEMIC

opening: Friday, July 10th 2020

Arch Enemy Arts is so excited to announce “Postcards from the Pandemic,” a massive group show of hand-painted, drawn, collaged and printed postcards from fifty plus artists we love. Each postcard is priced at $75, with $10 of each sale going to BEAM Collective a “training, movement building, and grant making organization dedicated to the healing, wellness and liberation of Black and marginalized communities.”

Throughout history, people have collected postcards to connect, to remember, and to shed light on the times. As a medium itself, the postcard is intimate and personal. Through the mail, it gathers wear and tear, documenting distance. When we sent our invites out to the artists, the feedback was incredible, and the results are even more astounding.

Each postcard is a little glimpse into the artist’s world, and each world could not be more unique. Some are completely surreal, transporting us from these dark times into another world. Others stay true to where we are here and now, taking a “no holds barred” approach to the societal challenges we face. We are so pleased to offer our community of artists and collectors the opportunity to connect with an artist and their work in such a way that records this unprecedented time in our living history.

All cards are priced at $75 USD + insured shipping.

All cards measure approximately 5" x 7".
