Arch Enemy Arts is thrilled to announce our debut solo feature of Micah Ofstedahl entitled: The Space Between. The show is an astounding collection of seven original paintings –each a new work in acrylic on canvas– and all as meticulous as they are dreamy.

 

Micah’s hyper-realistic landscapes are made extraordinary by seemingly interdimensional transparencies that warp the land and sky. His careful attention to detail and uncanny control of the medium provide a sharp, high definition view into a surreality unique to his imagination.

Of the series he describes The Space Between as:

“being somewhere between the completely unknown, invisible, or imperceptible aspects of existence and the everyday observable reality that we take for granted. It's those moments that remind you that there must be something more than this physical realm, but we can only barely taste it, and just for a brief moment.”

 

Micah studied at Minnesota State University where he received his BFA, initially with a focus in sculpture and ceramics. He now resides in the Pacific Northwest where he continues to develop his impeccable painting style from methods he has employed for over 13 years.

 

This solo feature is Micah Ofstedahl’s first with Arch Enemy Arts since first being shown in our 2020 Open Call Showcase.

Micah's THE SPACE BETWEEN exhibition will be on view from May 20th - June 12th, 2022.
Sold works will begin to ship the week of June 20th, unless other arrangements have been made.
