Joe Vollan

BUFFALO, NY

Originally from Seattle, doom-folk artist Joe Vollan has reimagined traditional folklore and children’s fairy tales to build his own collection of stories and characters that fit a much darker and more twisted world. Vollan’s style is singular, elaborate, and eccentric. He often creates chronological narratives within each series of paintings, drawings, and sculptures; stories that evoke a sense of wonder and make the artist’s fantasy-lore come to life. Vollan has participated in nearly twenty group shows with Arch Enemy Arts, and he has debuted six successful and highly anticipated solo features with the gallery.
