Jesus Aguado

SPAIN

Spanish artist Jesús Aguado employs classical techniques to create absurd yet symbolic satires in paint. Through a repetitive method of acrylic glazing, Aguado builds an incredible flux of light and volume in his work, rendering comical characters who parade through mind-bending worlds with dark yet playful irreverence.

Aguado studied Fine Arts at the University of Salamanca. In addition to exhibiting internationally, he has published illustrative work with such notable clients as Santillana Latinoamérica, National Geographic, and Edelvives, earning numerous awards in illustration, and his work is featured in Beautiful Bizarre Magazine Issue 31. Arch Enemy Arts is proud to have exhibited Aguado’s work in several shows since 2020 including his first solo feature with the gallery in 2022.
