Michael Koehler

PITTSBURGH, PA

Michael Koehler’s paintings navigate humankind’s “shifting relationship to nature in an increasingly technologically dependent world.” His deep reverence for the earth plays out in paintings that often appear loosely idolic in composition, portraying the transcendental, yet vulnerable power of the natural world. 

 

Koehler graduated with a degree in graphics design, and his paintings have appeared in galleries across the United States as well as featured in publications like Brut Magazine and Dish Rag Magazine. Koehler began exhibiting with Arch Enemy Arts in 2021 after submitting to our Spotlight Showcase. His work has appeared in more than ten group shows with the gallery to-date, and we will celebrate the artist’s first solo feature in May 2024.
