Hanna Jaeun

LOS ANGELES, CA

L.A.-based painter Hanna Jaeun portrays ghostly memories of growing up with critter-like companions and haunted dreams. Painting in acrylic on wood panel, her pieces are innocent and menacing, playful and dark, beautiful and full of sorrow. Exploring this duality, she appeals to the lonely, vulnerable child within us all.

Self-taught as a painter, Jaeun studied apparel design at the Rhode Island School of Art and Design obtaining a CFA. She worked in Brooklyn for many years before recently moving to the West coast. Jaeun has exhibited with Arch Enemy Arts since 2015, appearing in thirteen group shows and three solo features including her most recent in February, 2023.
